<ul> <li>Location - VIC</li> <li>Australian Citizens with NV1 Clearance</li> <li>Length of Contract: 5 months</li> <li>The role closes on 24th February 2026</li> </ul> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>:<br> <ul> <li>Create procedural figures, system diagrams, schematics, wiring/connector visuals, exploded views, and illustrated Parts Catalogue's callouts with clean leader lines and consistent numbering.</li> <li>Manage illustration control numbers, metadata, versioning and reuse, ensuring configuration control in the project's configuration management plan.</li> <li>Collaborate with SMEs, systems engineers, logisticians and technical writers to capture source data, resolve ambiguities, and maintain technical accuracy.</li> <li>Support the creation and upkeep of the Illustration Authoring Conventions / Style Guide and contribute to continuous improvement of publication workflows.</li> </ul> <strong>Required Skills and Experience:</strong><br> <ul> <li>Professional experience as a technical illustrator (Defence, aerospace, automotive, or complex systems domains).</li> <li>Effective stakeholder engagement skills: ability to communicate with engineers, operators, technical advisors and authors to resolve technical ambiguities.</li> </ul> <strong>Highly Desirable Skills and Experience:</strong><br> <ul> <li>Strong grasp of legibility, line weights, typography in graphics, colour and contrast for both print and digital delivery.</li> <li>Capability in version control and configuration management of graphic assets; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.</li> </ul> <strong>Additional Criteria:</strong><br> <ul> <li>DSS - 6.3 Technical - Publication Authoring - L2</li> <li>SFIA Skill Code - Content design and authoring (INCA) - L3</li> </ul> <strong>Please contact [email protected]&nbsp;or simply click apply to submit your application&nbsp;</strong><br>&nbsp;<br><strong>"We warmly welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including First Nations Australians, Australian Defence Force and First Responder veterans, women in STEM, and people of all abilities, including those registered with the NDIS."</strong><br>&nbsp;<br><em>ARIS ZINC GROUP offers an end-to-end service approach with unique combination of expertise in recruiting, IT consulting and payroll services in the Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane markets.
