<ul> <li>Location - ACT</li> <li>Australian Citizens with NV1 Clearance</li> <li>Length of Contract: 4 months</li> <li>The role closes on 24th February 2026</li> </ul> <strong>About the Role:</strong><br> <br>The role requires, Defence specific experience in:<br> <ul> <li>Defence capital acquisition projects.</li> <li>Performing critical and complex engineering activities.</li> <li>Evaluating delivered materiel/items meets requirements and legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks, provide recommendations.</li> <li>exercising assigned engineering authorities and any Technical Regulatory Authority delegations.</li> <li>effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders</li> <li>Technical certification &amp; Engineering compliance.</li> <li>Engineering change process including experience in Configuration Control Board.</li> <li>conduct reviews of contract deliverables understanding of Defence engineering policies, processes and plans.</li> <li>systems engineering technical and professional advice.</li> <li>the ability to draft and review systems engineering artefacts across the full systems engineering lifecycle.</li> <li>the ability to work under limited direction to perform and achieve complex systems engineering work.</li> </ul> <strong>Experience / Skills Sought:</strong><br>The successful candidate will be responsible for:<br> <ul> <li>The conduct of tender evaluations as a member of a Tender Evaluation Working Group.</li> <li>Researching and developing requirements.</li> <li>Experience in Land domain.</li> <li>Experienced in leading engineering tasks and teams.</li> <li>Conduct reviews of contract deliverables.</li> <li>Supporting development of engineering plans (e.g. Test and Evaluation Master Plan, Systems Engineering Management Plan, Safety Management Plan, Configuration Management Plan).</li> <li>Supporting development of documents in preparation of Government submissions.</li> <li>Providing professional engineering advice to support the achievement of Land-worthiness land military equipment and systems, in accordance with the applicable engineering governance frameworks.</li> </ul> <strong>Essential Experience and / or Qualifications:</strong><br> <ul> <li>A qualified engineering practitioner with a minimum of Engineering Degree qualification with relevant and recent defence industry experience of more than 7 years.</li> <li>Work under broad supervision.</li> <li>Good understanding of Defence Systems Engineering concepts.</li> <li>Understanding of the One Defence Capability System (formerly the Capability Life Cycle).</li> <li>Previous and current Systems Engineering experience.</li> <li>Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance.</li> <li>Current/active Chartered Engineering accreditation preferred.</li> </ul> <strong>Additional Criteria:</strong><br> <ul> <li>DSS - 2.1 Systems and Software Engineering - Systems Engineering - L3</li> <li>SFIA Skill Code - Systems and software lifecycle engineering (SLEN) - L4</li> </ul> <strong>Please contact [email protected]&nbsp;or simply click apply to submit your application&nbsp;</strong><br>&nbsp;<br><strong>"We warmly welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including First Nations Australians, Australian Defence Force and First Responder veterans, women in STEM, and people of all abilities, including those registered with the NDIS."</strong><br>&nbsp;<br><em>ARIS ZINC GROUP offers an end-to-end service approach with unique combination of expertise in recruiting, IT consulting and payroll services in the Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane markets.
