<ul> <li>Location - Canberra, ACT</li> <li>Australian Citizens with TSPV Clearance</li> <li>Length of Contract: 12 months | Possibility of Extension: 2x12 months</li> <li>The role closes on 1st May 2026</li> </ul> <strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br> <ul> <li>Interpret functional specifications and technical designs to develop, maintain, enhance, and support software applications and capability solutions.</li> <li>Design, build, test, deploy, and support software components using technologies such as Java, Python, and C++ operating within Linux/UNIX environments.</li> <li>Manipulate, transform, and convert data to support software applications, integrated systems, and operational workflows.</li> <li>Contribute to software and systems engineering activities, including architectural design, design reviews, trade‑off analysis, and implementation planning.</li> <li>Support system integration activities, including build, automation, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives across on‑premises and cloud‑based environments.</li> <li>Contribute to and support DevSecOps pipelines, including automated build, test, security, and deployment processes.</li> <li>Apply sound cyber security principles and support secure software development, deployment, administration, and operational practices in accordance with organisational and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Provide technical support across Linux and Windows environments, including software deployment, system configuration, and platform administration as required.</li> <li>Contribute to cloud administration and engineering activities to support scalable, resilient, and reliable capability outcomes.</li> <li>Produce, maintain, and review technical documentation; execute testing activities; and provide specialist technical advice and guidance to stakeholders and team members.</li> <li>Support user‑focused solution development, including consideration of UX/UI principles where applicable.</li> <li>Contribute to continuous improvement by developing and enhancing processes and procedures, by working collaboratively, flexibly, and effectively with the broader project team, business partners, and stakeholder groups.</li> <li>Operate effectively within a high‑security environment, demonstrating discretion, sensitivity, and strict adherence to security policies and handling requirements.</li> </ul> <strong>Duties:</strong><br> <ul> <li>Takes technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of software development.</li> <li>Plans and drives software construction activities.
