Join a leading financial institution as a Senior full-stack Engineer and be part of a greenfield project within the Markets team. This exciting opportunity involves rebuilding a legacy trading platform and transforming it into a modern, scalable solution hosted on AWS, with a front-end built in React and backend in Java. You will work closely with the Markets team to enhance the platform's scalability, usability, and performance. Key Responsibilities As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement both frontend and backend solutions, leveraging React.js for the UI and Node.js or similar technologies for backend services. Collaborating with cross-functional teams-including developers, BAs, and testers-you will be responsible for delivering scalable and secure applications. Your responsibilities will include building reusable UI components and backend services, translating designs and wireframes into high-quality, maintainable code, and optimizing performance across web browsers and server environments. You'll implement RESTful APIs, ensure seamless integration between the frontend and backend, and deploy solutions on AWS Cloud. You will actively participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and troubleshooting activities, while adopting and promoting best practices in performance, security, and accessibility. Staying current with industry trends, you'll write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to deliver modern, reliable, and scalable solutions. Your Experience and Skills 7+ years' of software engineering experience Proficiency in React.js (including workflows like Redux) and Node.js. Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Java, and RESTful APIs. Familiarity with JWT and other modern authorization mechanisms. Solid understanding of front-end build tools, pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git). Proven experience deploying and hosting applications using AWS serverless services (e.g., Lambda). Strong debugging, optimization, and communication skills. Knowledge of Kubernetes, containerized applications, and cloud implementations (AWS/GCP). Familiarity with tools like OpenTelemetry, Lightstep, and Kafka. Ability to write unit, integration, and non-functional tests.
