Senior / Principle Developers - Contract and possible contract to perm Opportunities🔥 📍 Location: NSW, 📆 Length: 6 Months with extensions 💰 Daily Rate - $800-1400Pday Scout Talent are working with a cutting-edge defence tech company revolutionising military capabilities through AI, autonomy, and sensor fusion. Work on advanced systems that integrate computer vision, real-time data processing, and autonomous technologies to shape the future of defence. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a lead/Senior developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills. What You’ll Do Act as a subject matter expert in key technical domains, including computing, storage, networking, orchestration, and software architecture. Design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions for autonomous systems, ensuring mission readiness. Collaborate with end-users, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate operational needs into effective software architectures. Contribute to software development across multiple platforms, from embedded systems to cloud-based services. Develop and maintain software services that integrate across multiple product lines, ensuring modular and reusable solutions. Implement full lifecycle software testing, simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop testing for system validation. Required Qualifications 5+ years professional experience in software engineering, with deep expertise in relevant domains. Experience developing backend services in C++, OR, Python Experience building front-end applications using TypeScript and React. Solid grounding in TDD, OOP, and a passion for writing clean, efficient code. Amazon AWS or Azure experience. Understanding of product lifecycle development, including manufacturing, deployment, and sustainment. Strong systems and application programming skills, including algorithms, data structures, Ability to work across the full software stack, from architecture to implementation, operation, and sustainment.
