Senior Data Business Analyst - Financial Crime Program 12M day rate + extension $900-$950 + super Sydney office - 2 days p.w About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Data Business Analyst to join a Financial Crime Program team. In this role, you will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to drive data-driven solutions within a financial crime transformation Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with business teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements for financial crime-related initiatives. Work with technical teams to design and implement data solutions using Teradata and SQL. Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for financial crime prevention. Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract insights from large datasets. Support end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical implementation. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical specifications. What We're Looking For: Experience in Financial Crime Programs (AML, Fraud, Sanctions, or Transaction Monitoring). 6 + years Business Analysis experience 3 + years Data Business Analysis experience within a financial crime program Strong expertise in Teradata, SQL, data migration Ability to work with large datasets, perform deep dives, and generate meaningful insights. Proven experience in financial services, banking, or a regulated industry. Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise between business and technology teams. Candidates must be based in Sydney with full work rights.
