Full stack | Hybrid | National retail group A national retail group is rebalancing workloads and needs a Senior Automation Engineer or SDET to steady and strengthen its automation capability. This 12 month contract offers $900 per day and the chance to deliver meaningful work in a large scale transformation. You’ll be hands on across frontend and backend automation, working with a team that values technical quality, practical thinking and clear communication. What you’ll deliver Build and maintain robust frontend automation using JavaScript or TypeScript (Kotlin or Swift also considered) Design and execute backend API tests with Java, REST Assured, Postman and Newman Lift frontend test coverage to the same maturity as backend Provide consistent, reliable automation across products and teams Work in a hybrid model: 2 days in office now, increasing to 3 in October What we’re looking for Senior experience as an SDET or automation engineer Strong frontend automation skills in JavaScript or TypeScript Backend automation capability in Java, REST Assured, Postman and Newman A full stack mindset, not backend only Available to start within two weeks Interview process 40 minute technical chat with the hiring manager Technical task 30 minute discussion with the Principal Chapter Lead
