About the job Project Manager (Application & Data Centre Transition) Location: Sydney (Norwest) Job Type: 12-18-month contract Salary: 1000 per day Start Date: As soon as possible About UsOur client is a leader in the energy and critical infrastructure sector, and they are undergoing a significant digital transformation to modernise its IT operations and support a rapidly evolving energy landscape. This includes: Expansion of renewable energy capacity and network connections Data centre consolidation and infrastructure modernisation Implementation of advanced real-time operational systems Strengthening of cyber security and IT governance frameworks This role is critical to ensuring that core systems and applications are transitioned smoothly into a new or consolidated data centre environment, supporting operational resilience and compliance. The Role: Seeking a seasoned Project Manager to deliver a major application migration as part of a broader infrastructure uplift. This is a high-visibility, business-critical initiative that requires strong coordination across technical teams, business units, and third-party providers. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end delivery of application and system migrations across legacy and modern platforms into a new data centre Coordinate with infrastructure, application, cyber security, and enterprise architecture teams Manage relationships with external vendors and relevant stakeholders, ensuring regulatory alignment Ensure strong governance across risk, change management, and system reliability Oversee detailed migration planning, testing, and go-live execution with minimal business disruption Align project outcomes with security, compliance, and operational requirements for critical infrastructure Key Experience & Skills: Proven success in delivering complex application and infrastructure migration projects Deep knowledge of data centre environments, IT architecture, and enterprise application landscapes Experience working in regulated sectors such as energy, utilities, critical infrastructure, or government Familiarity with ISO 27001, ITIL, and cyber security or critical infrastructure protection standards Strong interpersonal and communication skills for managing diverse stakeholder groups Demonstrated ability to manage risks, dependencies, and competing priorities in large-scale projects Preferred Qualifications & Exposure: Experience in organisations aligned with national infrastructure, utilities, or energy markets Exposure to projects involving energy generators, transmission operators, or renewable energy developers Project Management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) Knowledge of hybrid environments, cloud migration, or disaster recovery planning How to ApplyApply now for a chat or send your resume to [email protected]
