An iconic Financial Services provider is seeking a Principal Network Automation Engineer with advanced Python scripting combined with strong Kubernetes / Microservices skills to join their team on a permanent basis. Joining a dynamic, high-performing team, you will leverage your strong software design experience to drive automation in their complex network environment. You will help contribute towards the strategic direction of their automation journey, leading the configuration of their automation and orchestration platforms, as well as leading and mentoring the team. To be successful in this role you will need: Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry certifications Advanced network engineering and automation experience gained within large, enterprise environments Superior Python scripting skills with good knowledge of the software development lifecycle Proven experience in the design and architecture of automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket etc as well as Cisco automation tools such as DevNet Strong knowledge of DevOps principles and tools including Linux, Docker, Kubernetes Superior troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work independently as required This is a Sydney-based role which requires you to be in the office at least two - three days per week.
