They are currently looking for a Network Engineer - AI who will play a pivotal role in planning, designing, and implementing high-performance, low-latency network infrastructure within the organisation's flagship research computing environments. This role is essential for ensuring availability, scalability, and continuous innovation in data centre networking services. Key Responsibilities: Strategic planning, designing, and implementing network services for high-performance computing infrastructure platforms. Integration and optimisation of NVIDIA networking technologies to ensure low-latency, high-throughput data transmission. Operational readiness of network systems, including monitoring, observability, and system validation. Governance of data centre network infrastructure implementation activities in accordance with delivery frameworks and compliance standards. Implementation of network segmentation and microsegmentation for strong security practices. Creation and maintenance of comprehensive network systems/solutions technical documentation. Evaluation of technical specifications, vendor solutions, and system commissioning. Relationship management with suppliers/carriers/vendors regarding technical issues and future development roadmap. Testing, implementation, monitoring, and tuning of data centre networking software and hardware. Support for change management within the data centre networking functional domain. Key Selection Criteria: Extensive experience with NVIDIA Mellanox (Mandatory) technologies and secure network design.Strong skills in enterprise/data centre grade network hardware/software, protocols, network security, and Cloud. Experience working withing Data Centres (Mandatory) Advanced operational knowledge of switching, routing, and network security across vitalised and containerised environments. Detailed knowledge of industry standards and evolving trends in data centre interconnects, SDN, and network automation technologies. Practical experience with data centre operations, including hardware installation, cabling, and capacity planning. Highly developed project management, planning, and organisational skills.
