We are looking for a Tech Lead to lead the delivery of a large mobile capability upgrade. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll play a key part in modernising apps with a large and growing user base, ensuring they are high-performing, scalable, and deliver an outstanding user experience. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end delivery of two large-scale mobile app upgrades, ensuring high-quality, on-time outcomes. Design and implement scalable architecture using Kotlin and React Native to support growth and future enhancements. Work closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Provide hands-on coding, code reviews, and technical mentorship to elevate team capability and performance. Champion agile practices, CI/CD pipelines, and quality standards to drive efficient, reliable delivery. Oversee release management and post-launch improvements, including app store submissions and performance monitoring. Skills & Experience Required Strong commercial experience with Kotlin (Android) and building enterprise-grade apps Proven experience with React Native, delivering production-ready mobile applications A track record of leading development teams or acting as a solution architect for complex mobile projects Strong understanding of mobile design patterns, app performance tuning, and scalability Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Desirable Skills Knowledge of mobile analytics, A/B testing, and user experience optimisation tools Experience with backend APIs and cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure) Benefits of the Role 12-month contract with strong potential to extend Competitive daily rate – $1,000-$1,100 incl. super (negotiable) Opportunity to work on high-profile, customer-facing mobile apps Hybrid working model with a balance of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility If you’re interested in finding out more about this opportunity Apply Now!
