SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA PERMANENT $180000 - $230000 PER ANNUM Job Title: Senior / Lead Platform Engineer Location: Sydney OR Brisbane (Remote first working policy) Type: Permanent My client is revamping the e-sports and betting industry with their industry leading platform. They are on a journey to become a major player both in Australia and globally in the e-sports space and they are looking for someone with expertise in Platform Engineering to take ownership of their infrastructure. With recent growth, they are seeking someone with robust hands-on experience in developing cloud infrastructure and craft cloud products for internal stakeholders. This position will play a vital role in enhancing the developer experience and spearhead the process of automating their cloud ecosystem management. About you: Self-starter / decision maker who can spearhead the automation journey Hands on expertise in Infrastructure as code Experience with containerized application ecosystems / continuous delivery Experience in implementing monitoring solutions Leadership experience / capability – this role is guaranteed to grow Team player with high ownership Day to day: Decide on appropriate IAC Transition AWS and Firebase infrastructure to IAC control Automate the creation and destruction of test environments Implement observability, monitoring and logging practices Migration of all databases to IAM authentication Write and manage code – Ideally Java Work with IAC tools Performance optimisation Nice to have: Familiarity with Kube / Containers Development background – Java / Python Experience with automated security scanning, alerting and remediation Why Join: Role with a high level of ownership / growth opportunities High performing team Remote first flexibility – Work from anywhere!
