Our client is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst with a strong understanding of legacy mainframe payment platforms and systems, capacity modelling and payments processing to join their team on a 12 month day rate contract. This role is based in Sydney CBD which requires 3 days in office (mandatory). As an IT Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analysis and documenting business requirements for projects related to the migration, and maintenance of critical payment processing systems. Adding to this, a strong focus will be on optimising performance and capacity within a mainframe environment. Additional requirements include but not limited to: Capacity planning and performance optimisation within the mainframe environment. Identifying and mitigating performance bottlenecks and capacity constraints. Ensuring system scalability and availability to meet growing transaction volumes and evolving business needs. Required skills and experience: 4 + Years as a Business Analyst working within Financial Services Proven experience of legacy mainframe platforms and systems, including CICS, Cobol Strong experience in capacity planning and performance analysis for mainframe environments In-depth knowledge of payments processing systems and industry best practices Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex data and identify trends and patterns
