Engineering Manager Location: Remote (AU/NZ preferred) Salary: $170K–$190K AUD + super (flexible for the right person) Start Date: ASAP I’m working with a well-established SaaS company in the logistics space that’s scaling its engineering leadership across Australia and New Zealand. They’ve built a strong product with great market fit, and now they’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a remote-first team and help take things to the next level. The platform is built in Ruby on Rails, so deep experience there is key. You’ll be leading a small, distributed team across Singapore, the Philippines, and Australia, working closely with the GM and other leaders in marketing, sales, and support. What You’ll Be Doing Leading and mentoring a remote engineering team (currently 6–7 people) Staying hands-on with Ruby on Rails while guiding technical direction and delivery Working closely with leadership across product, DevOps, and operations Driving architecture decisions, team structure, and long-term engineering culture Bonus is you have ISO compliance and best practices in security and performance What They’re Looking For Solid experience leading engineering teams in a remote or distributed setup Strong hands-on background in Ruby on Rails (this is non-negotiable) Familiarity with ISO standards or relevant certifications Experience in logistics, fleet management, or SaaS is a bonus Someone who’s collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working across time zones A Bit About the Team Tech lead and engineers based in Singapore Additional engineers in the Philippines GM based in New Zealand, overseeing DevOps Sales and customer access team in Sydney Support team based in Singapore Sydney office available, but the role is fully remote Why It’s a Great Opportunity Strong product with real traction in the logistics space Remote-first culture with flexibility and autonomy Great team and leadership across AU/NZ Competitive salary with room to stretch for the right candidate Interviews happening this week If this sounds like something you’d be keen to explore, I’d love to have a chat and share more.
