Our client, a global financial services group, is looking for a Data Engineer to join Data Platforms Team to contribute to building the best technology business in financial services. As a Data Engineer you will be building, implementing and enhancing enterprise scale data solutions. You will be also responsible for designing, developing, deploying and supporting data assets, creating templates and implementation methods, standards and frameworks. What makes you a good fit: 4+ years’ of enterprise data engineering experience in a mature cloud environment; Experience building and deploying data lakes and data warehouses on GCP using services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions and GCS; Experience developing code-based ETL/ELT data pipelines with performance optimised data modelling; Experience ingesting data from a variety of sources (DBs, APIs, streaming data feeds, and other clouds); Experience with event driven processing and big data processing – handling PII, data formatting & wrangling, data preparation What’s in it for you: Being part of a highly collaborative and supportive team of diverse developers and engineers; Hybrid and flexible working arrangements Using modern technologies, practices and architectures Located in one of the most prestigious buildings in Sydney CBD, 2000.
