We’re working with a fast-moving, forward-thinking organisation that’s investing heavily in its security capability. They’re looking for a Junior Cyber Security Administrator to join their Sydney team. This is a strong opportunity to gain experience across a broad range of security functions, learn from senior professionals, and play a meaningful part in strengthening security operations. You don’t need to tick every box—what matters is a solid IT/cyber foundation, curiosity, and a genuine drive to develop your career. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll work on protecting networks, systems, and cloud environments, collaborating with internal IT teams and external partners. Key areas include: Monitoring network traffic and identifying suspicious activity Administering firewalls, VPNs, and SASE tools (with training provided) Supporting identity and access management Assisting with vulnerability assessments and audits Responding to security incidents and helping mitigate threats Gaining exposure to frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and APRA 234 What You’ll Bring 2–3 years’ experience in IT or cyber security Knowledge of security tools such as firewalls, VPNs, or EDR solutions Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach Willingness to learn across multiple domains Advantageous: exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) or certifications such as Security+ Why This Role Stands Out Hybrid work model (Sydney-based) Structured mentoring and defined development pathways Competitive salary plus super and performance bonus Hands-on experience with advanced tools and real-world threats A supportive and collaborative team environment Please send CV in the first instance.
