We are currently seeking an experienced Tech/Digital BA for our NSW Government client who will be responsible for defining business requirements and help determine solutions, support decision making, future planning and business improvement initiatives. Agile Technical/Digital Business Analyst - NSW Government Location: Eveleigh (2015), Sydney, with great WFH flexibility Rate: $800 - $900 per day + Super Contract Length: Till June 30th 2025, Very high chance of extending. Note: Must have 7yrs+ experience as technical/digital business analyst delivering multiple tech & digital projects in Agile and thorough business acumen. The project is focussed on: user centred design and Agile methodologies to develop an online application system for usage within the Department and people within the states around administration and applications. The successful candidate will be utilising Agile and continuous delivery techniques & methodologies appropriate to program way of working to balance speed to market, high quality outputs whilst using fit for purpose solutions to drive first class customer experiences. It is highly desirable to have experience working in large complicated organisations. Keys to Role: Roles will suit an experienced BA delivering projects in Agile: 7+ years Technical/Digital BA experience using Agile A strong sense of business accumen Comfortable in an ambiguous and fast paced environment End user focus mindset that is Tech agnostic Key accountabilities: Understanding, negotiating, documenting and maintaining the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders. Support the management of product backlog with Product Owner/s. Tracing the business requirements through to delivery to meet business and strategic goals. Creating, analysing and validating functional specifications and completing gap analyses. Collaborating closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process. Raise risks/issues and dependencies to the team Eliciting and clearly documenting business and systems requirements using Agile tools and practices. Be a change agent to improve adoption of new solutions and practices. Contributing to training materials, user and system documentation where required Experience and attributes: Extensive experience as a senior business analyst in large complex IT environment. Minimum of 7 years of experience working in an Agile environment. Experience writing user stories and clearly articulating acceptance criteria to the team. Experience working with UI, UX, preferably in a service design context. Customer facing experience in business analysis. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working in all stages of the project life-cycle and how to manage the delivery of services through each stage. Excellent interpersonal and self-directing skills, coupled with a positive attitude. Capacity to work across a wide range of skill bases and the ability to respond flexibly as priorities emerge. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Knowledge in cloud solutions and systems integration is desirable. Key challenges: Build and maintain strong working relationships across teams and business stakeholders. Working in a high volume environment with changing priorities and processes. Distil business needs to identify fit for purpose options Candidates must be based in or around the Greater Sydney Area and willing to travel to Eveleigh.
