Talenza are working with a QLD Based Energy provider on the search for a Application Risk Engineer. We're seeking an experienced Application Risk Engineer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team. In this hybrid role, you'll integrate your technical expertise with risk and compliance responsibilities to ensure seamless operations, data security, and proactive risk mitigation across a cloud-based infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary technical support for a portfolio of applications, ensuring performance, availability, and seamless SSO functionality. Lead the management and implementation of initiatives related to service accounts and user access (targeted for completion by November 2025). Collaborate with cloud, development, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve application issues. Conduct thorough risk assessments across D&T systems and operational processes, with a focus on compliance and security. Own and deliver mitigation strategies, aligning with regulatory requirements and internal frameworks. Maintain up-to-date documentation for support processes and risk management practices. Liaise between Digital & Technology, Information Security, Risk & Compliance, and key business stakeholders to ensure alignment. About You: Tertiary qualification in IT, business management, or related fields. ITIL certification and/or exposure to Agile and SDLC methodologies (highly regarded). Proven background in application support, troubleshooting, and optimisation. Strong grasp of risk frameworks, compliance, and cyber security best practices. Experience working in cloud-based environments. Exceptional problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
