<ul> <li>Location - Canberra, ACT</li> <li>Security Clearance - Australian Citizens with NV2 Clearance</li> <li>Length of Contract - 9 months</li> <li>Closing Date - 5th November 2025</li> </ul> <strong>Cybersecurity Responsibilities:</strong><br> <ul> <li>Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across applications, networks, and infrastructure.</li> <li>Perform security risk assessments and maintain accreditation under frameworks.</li> <li>Prepare detailed technical reports and executive-level summaries to communicate security findings, risks, and mitigation strategies.</li> <li>Contribute to incident response and security investigations when required.</li> <li>Provide subject matter expertise on emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and protective technologies.</li> </ul> <strong>Systems Engineering &amp; Administration Responsibilities:</strong><br> <ul> <li>Contribute to system design, integration, and verification activities across hardware, software, and networks</li> <li>Analyse system requirements and ensure security controls are embedded throughout the system development lifecycle (SDLC)</li> <li>Develop and maintain system architecture documentation, design artefacts, and interface specifications</li> <li>Support system testing, evaluation, and acceptance activities</li> <li>Administer and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux) and virtualisation environments (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, cloud)</li> <li>Provide system administration support, including patch management, user account management, backup/recovery, and performance monitoring.</li> <li>Assist in troubleshooting complex system issues and implementing engineering or operational solutions</li> <li>Contribute to configuration management, change control, and system documentation.</li> </ul> <strong>Essential Experience:</strong><br> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience in penetration testing, vulnerability management, and security risk assessment.</li> <li>Strong background in systems engineering and systems administration.</li> <li>Hands-on knowledge of Windows and Linux administration, including user and group management, security hardening, and patching.</li> <li>Familiarity with system accreditation processes for government/defence systems.</li> <li>Experience with networking, virtualisation, and cloud platforms.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality technical and business-facing reports.</li> </ul> <strong>Desirable Experience:</strong><br> <ul> <li>Industry certifications (e.g., OSCP, CREST, CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Red Hat Certified Engineer).</li> <li>Systems engineering certifications (e.g., INCOSE CSEP, ITIL, TOGAF).</li> <li>Experience working with defence/critical infrastructure systems.</li> <li>Scripting/automation experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash).</li> <li>Knowledge of DevSecOps pipelines and secure software development practices.</li> </ul> <strong>Additional Criteria:</strong><br> <ul> <li>DSS - 2.1 Systems and Software Engineering - Systems Engineering - L2</li> <li>SFIA Skill Code - Systems and software lifecycle engineering (SLEN) - L3</li> </ul> <strong>Please contact Melody on 02 4086 8973 or [email protected] or simply click apply to submit your application&nbsp;</strong><br>&nbsp;<br><strong>"We warmly welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including First Nations Australians, Australian Defence Force and First Responder veterans, women in STEM, and people of all abilities, including those registered with the NDIS."</strong><br>&nbsp;<br><em>ARISZINC GROUP offers an end-to-end service approach with unique combination of expertise in recruiting, IT consulting and payroll services in the Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane markets.
